A new survey from the Council for a Strong America, a national, bipartisan non-profit, shows that high quality early childhood education provides the social and emotional skills that employers value most in their employees. Research has shown that the character skills formed in early childhood are associated with outcomes impacting the workforce. Children provided with high quality early childhood education were 54% more likely than their peers to earn a high school diploma, twice as likely to graduate from college, and 46% more likely to have a full-time job at age 25.
