Things to Know:

  • New eligibility as of March 24: To streamline operations and communication, Maricopa County will adopt the same prioritization as the state of Arizona and open vaccine appointments to all residents aged 16 and older. Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized for people ages 16 and 17, while all three vaccines (Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer) are authorized for people ages 18 and up, per the vaccine FDA Emergency Use Authorizations.
  • New Eligibility Section Includes Frontline Essential Workers  We have updated our eligible populations section to align with the state's new hybrid prioritized approach. You can view all currently eligible groups here.
  • FDA Approves Johnson and Johnson Vaccine EUA The FDA has approved the Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) vaccine for emergency use. It is the first one-dose COVID-19 vaccine released under EUA in the U.S. Learn more.
  • Hosting a Vaccination Event Community-based vaccination events are offered based upon availability of vaccine, vaccination provider, and host location. Organizations interested in hosting an event location can fill out a form to indicate interest.  
  • New Vaccination Data: We are now publishing data on who has been vaccinated in Maricopa County. These data are updated each Wednesday at Maricopa.gov/COVID19vaccinedata.
