You may need dust control training if your work involves dust-generating operations, or the processing of concrete, asphalt or rock products (including crushing or screening rock products). The Basic Rule 310 dust control training class is now available online. Email AQTraining@Maricopa.gov or call our training line at 602-372-1467 to register.
All dust control certifications are valid for three years from the date of issue. Dust classes often fill very quickly so be sure to register well in advance of the expiration of your certification.
If your work as a subcontractor involves tasks such as driving a water truck or being a designated on-site representative, you must complete the dust control training program required for those tasks.
Newly-hired employees will be granted 30 days from their date of hire to complete training and attain the applicable certification.
An identification card will be issued by the department upon completion of training and is to be carried by the certified individual at all times while on site.
