Maricopa County’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program utilizes approximately $2.5 million annually in federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for various programs and activities that provide much needed assistance to low- and moderate-income individuals, families and communities. The funding is distributed to participating Urban County communities and community-based social service agencies to help fund various programs and projects.
Urban County areas include the municipalities of Buckeye, El Mirage, Gila Bend, Goodyear, Guadalupe, Litchfield Park, Queen Creek, Tolleson, Wickenburg and Youngtown and includes unincorporated Maricopa County.
